Beauty BANG for Your Buck: Dolce & Gabbana cream
So since I have worked at FNet, I’ve discovered that I love everything and anything Dolce & Gabbana. Of course, as I’m browsing the D&G pages, I came across this lotion on our site and when I saw that it was UNDER $5, I just had to get it for myself. It has been sitting on my desk for 2 weeks now and I just feel oh so cool with my Dolce and Gabbana lotion. I Instagramed a pic of my steal of a deal, told all of my friends, Tweeted that pic of course, and everyone is amazed. Ladies and gents, you too can get this great deal, get that bang for your buck too! Who ever thought you can get anything D&G for under $5? That’s right, now you know.
So why do I love it so much? I love
1.) The packaging. Packaging to me can either seal the deal or completely break it for me. If I don’t like the look of it, I may not even give my nose a chance to smell it’s scent. The cool crème look, classic bottle with the red top and gold engraved Dolce & Gabbana seals the deal, I’m in love.
2.) The scent! DUH. Once we get past step one, this is what it’s about baby. This cream contains notes of basil, tangerine, orange flowers, carnations, marigold, and vanilla.
I can’t get enough…and lucky for me (and you too), it’s under $5
Get It: The Perfect Red Lip
One morning in the office, our Creative Director Carole and I were chit chatting about some of the latest beauty trends and looking at some pictures of the beauties on the red carpet at the Met Gala. She was wondering how to get that perfect red lip that they (we mean their makeup artists) do oh-so-well and that's when I went off on my DIY tutorial rant. She said, “THAT ...you need to do an Eau Talk blog post about that.” So here I am, doing just that.
They say not everyone can pull of a red lip but puh-lease, “they” are not always right. ANYONE can pull off the perfectly red lipped pout, it just takes more patience finding the right red for your skin tone than anything else.

There are different types of reds, with different hues (undertones) that go well with different types of skin tones. For example, a bluish red lipstick with a cool undertone like Christian Dior's High Impact Weightless lipcolor in Technicolor red looks great on most women who have fair skin. Then there are the reds with a more warm tone, a more orange based color, that look amazing on women with darker skin tones. When looking for that perfect lipstick, don’t try it out on the back of your hand like we all know we do…but on your fingertip. Believe it or not, this is the closest to your natural lip color, so try this instead. After you’ve found your perfect lip hue, now the application process.
First, you want to make sure that you are applying your lip wear on an exfoliated and moisturized lip. Once your lips are softened and moisturized, apply a red lip liner, starting from the center of your lips out. You do not want to draw on lips to make it appear as if your lips are larger; this is a very tricky, freaky thing to do with red lip liner, so skip that part and just work your way out from in. Once you have fully lined your lip with the red liner (which will also extend the wear of your lip color), apply the lip color lightly, starting from the center of your lip outward. Dab your lips with a tissue for a matte look and also seal in the color. This will help to “stain” your lip and let the color fully sink in, for a long lasting look. Don’t want a matte look, apply some sheen gloss to your lip, but just be careful to not glop on too much gloss and create an uneven lip colored look.

May Must Haves
May, May, May...I seriously love May. May is a month where I feel like the best of things happen, like way back when, when I had prom, then high school and college graduations, and who can hate Memorial Day weekend? May is also the start of summer, that alone makes May a love-able month, but along with the love of the May month, I'm going to give a short rant on my May Must Haves and I bet...you'll just have to have them too!
Numero uno, hands down, goes to Sicily perfume by Dolce and Gabbana. This scent smells like a rich bouquet of flowers, a very romantic scent. It’s warm, spicy and not too heavy, just how I like it and honestly, the fact that it’s a hard to find scent and not many people wear it makes it one of my must haves, because who wants to smell like everyone else?
Next on the list is BioTherm's After Sun Oligo Thermal Face cream and Clarins Sun Care Cream in Moderate Protection SPF 20. If you don’t already know, May is Melanoma Awareness Month and with this sun protection and soothing and hydrating cream for after sun exposure, these products are a definite, definite must have. With the After Sun face cream, I can feel the intense moisture and hydration melt into my skin after application. It’s great if you want soft, supple, radiant skin…and I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t want that in the month of May.
On to the next one, Clinique’s Superbalm Lip treatment. If you recall, I have a serious lip gloss obsession and May is no exception for me to purchase yet another lip product. This treatment hydrates your lips to make them feel soft, smooth, supple and firm and prevents dryness and flakiness which sinfully occurs if you don’t apply a great lip balm like this one in the summer months.
Last but not least, completely and utterly obsessed with Pureology’s hydracure intense moisture masque. This cream not only smells great but really preps your hair for the summer heat. Don’t forget your hair needs protection too, so protect and treat with an intense moisture masque, like Pureology’s, which is my last and final May Must Have!
