The scent of a 4D movie: 'Spy Kids: All the Time in the World'

My family just got a whiff of "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D," and here’s how the event unfolded:

With each ticket we purchased, we received an Aromascope card (free of charge).

The card displays round scratch-and-sniff circles with eight easy-to-read numbers. As the numbers flashed on the movie screen we were instructed to scratch and sniff the corresponding number on our card.

Each of the aromas on the card are supposed to transport you into the scene of the movie via your sense of smell. I’m not sure how #6 (the smell of dirty diapers) and #7 (the smell of dog farts) were supposed to make the movie come to life for me, but my kids (ages 9 & 11) thought it was great.

What kid wouldn’t – body odors and funny sounds to that age group make for many giggles! For me – those smells and sounds just mean I’m getting old.
