I started wearing Shalimar when i was 16 yrs old my older sister of 9 yrs wore it once i put some on it became my signature fragrance. I've been wearing Shalimar ever I'm now 63 no other perfume compares to Shalimar for me. Over the years I've tried many of them while shopping at Macy's etc and nothing else stands up to it. Its sexy woody vanilla smell is so lovely. It can be a bit heavy in summer but I still wont wear even the lighter Shalimar . My ex husband use to think for years that it was just my aroma lol. It's been around a long time and still going strong that should tell you something these days. Im so happy they do still make it please continue to do so as long as I'm around. If u haven't tried please do and see how it lingers as the day goes on. It stays with you. Try it.

My grandmother wore Shalimar and I was so honored when she let me wear hers. I’ve worn nothing else for over 70 years - even in college in the 70s. Men I’ve dated through my life tell me they look for me in places I’m not, just from a whiff of “my” perfume. If a man recognizes your fragrance 60 years later - that’s staying power!

At 13 years of age, I first experienced the exotic allure of Shalimar cologne. My sister "Jacqueline Olivier ", brought , me my 1st bottle of this radiant exilier. And I was captured by it's arousing and sensual scent, which captivates and entwines you, in it's very essence. She and I were both raised on a farm, and the work was very hard, I remember her, telling my parents she'd move to the city and get a desk job, so she'd never have to work that hard ever again. She did move and did get that desk job, but, along the way to help ends meet she got a job in a phosh department store which sold this feminine allure in a bottle. So on most weekends visits she often caught the trails ways bus home and from up the road, I'd see her coming doting arms loaded with gifts and sweets from the candy shop, so rich, natural Brachs candies and clothes, and one special treat for me ,"Shalimar ", cologne, so rich so deep, was the fragrance, that at once; I imagined myself being caught up, and instantly settled in a foreign land, so elegant, so mysterifing, was, Shalimar, I never forgot the first time I inhaled it's aroumour. Always i will remember my sisters love for me to have taught me the true nature of feminity. She once told me, "to be a lady keep your makeup tight, your clothes neat and carry yourself like a lady", . She taught me to be a lady. She had class and she stood 5' 9" she was truly a beautiful woman, I often have heard old flames, admire her looks and grace. Here's to my sister, though your gone, the scent of you lives on in Shalimar cologne. I love you big sister. Love always, Vickie, ; you taught me class and styles, before there time. Remember her next time you here, Petula Clark , ,"Downtown ", the ladies of that era were the epitome of grace and how a lady should carry herself you won't go wrong.! Miss Clark's song was dated the year to date 1964, God Bless!
