Stella Mccartney (Designer)

Stella McCartney, the daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney and photographer Linda Eastman McCartney, has made a name for herself as a fashion designer, style icon, and animal-rights activist.
Born in 1971, McCartney grew up in a house in the English countryside when she wasn’t traveling with her parents and their band Wings. As a teen, she interned with several fashion houses before earning a degree in fashion design. She was later appointed creative director of the fashion brand Chloe, which she left in 2001 to launch her own company.
As a designer, McCartney is known for her tailored yet feminine designs and for her commitment to anti-leather, anti-fur practices. She has collaborated with other brands, including Adidas, GapKids, and H & M and has also found time to promote animal-rights initiatives.
McCartney added a fragrance collection to her portfolio with the 2003 release of the women’s perfume Stella, which inspired a wave of rose fragrances for younger women.
Through licensing agreements with L’Oreal and Procter & Gamble, she has maintained a strong presence in feminine fragrance with limited-edition summer versions of Stella and a new fragrance called L.I.L.Y. (2012).
