This is not a gaudy rose; this is a fresh, green rose. Think petals and the stem. Beautiful fragrance.

It took me a little while to warm up to Fille Tour de Fer, but now I adore it. It's a fresh, almost dewy, gentle rose, very feminine. It feels youthful, but suitable for all ages. There are no sugary gourmand notes to interfere with the floral notes. Uplifting, charming. I've taken to wearing it to bed at night when I want to feel soothed and contented. It's probably the most wearable rose of Serge Lutens' that I've tried, certainly more so than the powerhouse Fille de Berlin.
