eau de parfum
by
Guerlainunisex
Get as mysterious as the oriental with Santal Royal from Guerlain. Introduced in 2014 by the design house Guerlain, this fragrance is a sensation of contrasts. The fragrance opens with top notes from Neroli and Jasmine. The heart is rich with spicy, fruity and floral fragrances from Cinnamon, Peach and Rose respectively. The unisex fragrance closes with woody base notes from Agarwood, Sandalwood, Musk and Amber. Give in to the beauty of the unknown.

For Guerlain
Love it !As a tester I was expecting something not in good condition but it was. I do recommend buying tester if you have the opportunity.

This was a free sample, and it is stellar. The very first whiff was all wrong: literally smelled like hot transmission fluid. However, within ten seconds, it changed, and WOW it is wonderful. It's elegant, complex, beautiful. I get a smooth rich sandalwood, plus other lesser lush notes that seem to be to be hint of vanilla, amber, and possibly the smallest hint of patchouli. Not getting the jasmine or flowers, but fragrance is tricky: you can't always accurately name what's in it. Gorgeous, with depth, changes over time. I'm even sold on the challenge of getting through that first off-putting ten or fifteen seconds. It's a seductive transformation. I'm trying to find it for sale in a size that is not 4.2 oz bc I'd need to live to be 120 to use it all.

Terrible fragrance. Very acrid and sharp. I detected very little of the supposed notes in the description. I'm surprised they would attach the Guerlain name to such a poor product.

This was probably THE WORST Santal Anything I've ever smelled!!! It smells like rubbing alcohol!!!

Sample arrived in good order. I found this scent to be quite feminine rather than unisex. The rose dominates and it's a light, fruity, watery rose, and then there's some depth from some woody notes, but the woody notes are not heavy-handed. I have tried a few other rose-oud scents that I felt were better blended than this one.
