I also do not like the new scent of Opium. I emailed customer services at YvesSaintLaurent and was told that they do no have access to the originial Opium and that some times they have to make changes. It looks like the new scent is here to stay. Maybe if everyone would email them and let them know how unhappy we all are, they would consider doing something about it. I have been wearing it for 30 years and now I have no comparable scent to wear. Very, very unhappy.....

Review of Opium
I have worn this perfume since it came out. It has become my own scent. My family knows me for this scent. I bought a new bottle in October and I noticed that it is not the same. Why do you think you had to change it? Don't you remember what happened to Coke when they came out with New Coke? New is not always better. Just like the old saying " If it is not broken don't fix it". YSL you had a great product and you had to go and mess it up. Please go back to the original scent, I love it.

Review of Opium
I am so disappointed with the latest change to Opium. I have worn this fragrance for 30 years,(it is the only fragrance I wear), and have always received many compliments when wearing it. I prefer the previous packaging, but the packaging is a minimal issue - the big issue is the change and intensity of the fragrance! What happened? Why was it changed? Is it possible to return to the previous formula? Please, please, listen to your customers. Opium is a classic - don't mess with a good thing!!

I have been wearing Opium for over 35 years and I am VERY disappointed with the new bottle and it's fragrance. I HATE IT!!!! What was wrong with the old one? PLEASE bring back the old one. The new one is weak and the I prefer the original scent. I will have to find something else that reminds me of the old Opium. I

Review of Opium
I too, have been wearing Opium for many years and am so sad that they changed it! It smells nothing like the classic Opium that we all know and love! I have had to try and find some other fragrance to take its place, because I no longer will wear it. If you want to change the packaging..fine, but please bring back the tried and true Opium that made us all fall in love with it in the first place!
