This fragrance is, by far, the creme' de la creme' of fragrances. It can't be worn by everyone; however, if you have the right body chemistry, you will love it!! I've worn it for years and it is a staple in my fragrance wardrobe!!

A true classic. Clean, elegant! If you want a longlasting, delicate, fresh scent that gently wraps your body for hours, bathe with the gel. Temper the strength for the time of day.(The body oil distorts the fragrance a bit).Layer the fragrace in different forms to achieve the strength you desire. I wish more designers would appreciate the value of subtlety such as is offered by Chanel NO. 5 and avoid assualting our senses with the dearth of loud, noisy fragrances that now exist.

Chanel #5 is beyond classic. High florals give it the most distinct of this genre other than Joy, and for a lot less money. Have worn it for 25 years (I'm now 48) and the only other that comes close is again, a Chanel-Coco. NOT madmsl. Way too sweet.

Every time I go to a department store, I stop by a perfume counter. I try to love Chanel 5 so much! It is such a famous scent, you are suppose to love it, yeah? I am in a minority. I just don't get it...
