This fragrance was created for use in treatment of headaches. I always used it when feeling down, or when I had a headache I just had to take a whiff of the scent to soon feel better. That and the fact that I just love its cooness.

Review of 4711
4711 by Muelhens is now actually by "Glockengasse GmbH, Cologne Germany". I am confused that the color changed, the previous purchase (27oz) was colorless clear, but this time it is yellow. What happened? The scent is a traditional one, I am using it as after shave and for the body, face and hair for refreshing. I am an immigrant from Germany and in my 60s. We already used it in the U-boats. Is it still drinkable? It is sooo good, I am getting homesick when smelling it. I will buy it again and again.
