My dad has worn this cologne for as long as I can remember. I bought him a bottle for fathers day. The smell reminds me of sunny Sunday mornings getting ready to go to church, homemade waffles on the iron and a happy family. It's truly a classic scent and will always make me think of dad :)

Review of 4711
4711 has sentimental meaning for me. My Mom, who has passed away, wore this cologne when I was a child. She was born in Germany and must have learned of it from her mother. I associated this beautiful, light fragrance with her and memories of the bottle sitting on her dresser or dressing table. Of course, she let me try the cologne and I felt so grown up. Now, over 40 years later, I enjoy wearing it every day.

4711 is a light citrus scent that is never overpowering. However, it does fade after about three hours. Works well as an aftershave in the morning, fades so that you can wear a different scent in the evening.
