I purchased just about ALL of my fragrances from FragranceNet or other "grey market dealers" except for the occasional Rack Store find bc fragrances are just so expensive when ya buy Retail. Thing is that Black Orchid is THEE ONLY fragrance that I've ever purchased retail bc when Id first tried it at the mall, It had made such a huge impression on me that I just had to have it right then and there! Its absolutely "Unisex" and is truely "Niche Level perfumery." I refused to just get a dupe bc I knew that the nuances and the quality of the Patchouly could NEVER be replicated via Clone house. Its dark, rich, sophisticated, lasts FOREVER both on skin and clothes. I wouldn't call Black Orchid a "Safe Blind-buy" bc the Patchouli is quite earthy/ Choclatey, and I suppose some folks dont like that (who knows why), but for me? This is a VERY RARE 10 outta 10 in my book! Theres just nothing else like it! I own maybe 230-ish fragrances, and NOTHING I own compares to Tom Ford's- Black Orchid. A MUST HAVE for any Patchouli-Lover or even just a "Patchouli liker." LOL!! .. SUPERB!

Incredibly complex and rich! The truffle note is unique and beautiful and the scent lasts absolutely forever. Wore this to some metal shows with my blackest outfits and felt like a hot vampire, highly recommend!

The moment I smelled Black Orchid I knew that it was the perfume. Pretty sure I might and that's a might that the equivalent be. What a beautiful scent and it never gets old. The scent is long lasting.. The compliments don't cease. When your having one of those days as we all do, dab a little on in no time you will be told how wonderful you smell. Will definitely change your mood. It's a game changer! Tom Ford well exceed the 5 star review. My American Express now has a co-pilot!
