Bandit has changed. The current eau de parfum formulation is NOT as strong as the original eau de toilette concentration. There is also that unique "tar and leather" note missing. It's just not the same. Yes, it smells like Bandit, but without that mysterious note that made it what it was and also made it last all day. The current version is not a powerhouse like the original, but a tamed down version that will give you an hour or so of longevity, and it's definitely NOT the sillage monster that the original Bandit EDT was. I think I'll pass on this one. Just another classic that was screwed with and destroyed, to never come back. It seems like this younger generation is making their way into companies and screwing around with the vintage formulations to make it more pleasant for them, NOT for the long-time fans of Bandit. Leave good enough alone!

The current eau de parfum is NOT, let me stress NOT, as strong as the original eau de toilette. The original vintage eau de toilette seemed to be much stronger than the current eau de parfum, and the EDT lasted ALL DAY. The current EDP formulation is not a projection powerhouse like the original EDT, even though it claims to be an EDP concentration. I purchased the new EDP concentration, however, will have to reapply throughout the day to continue to smell it. Also of note, it seems that the underlying "tar" note has been tamped way down, making this newer version nothing like the magnificent original. That is what I loved about the original, that smoky "tar" note that made the fragrance unique. I think in the future I'll just try to track down the vintage eau de toilette on e-Bay. I suppose the current version will do for those who are unfamiliar with the vintage eau de toilette version of Bandit by Robert Piguet. I still do love it though, both vintage and reformulated. Hopefully, the perfumers at Piguet will relaunch the original vintage eau de toilette in all its chypre glory, either as the original powerhouse version or as a pure perfume. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope they get the message. However, if Piguet's operations have been taken over by a bunch of "youngsters," I doubt there will be little chance of that happening. Oh, where have true fragrance lovers/perfumers gone??? IFRA's new guidelines also suck, and because of that, gone are some true classics!

I have tried all the flowery scents from Cartier, Chanel, YSL, Dolce Gabanna, Gucci, etc , but after I ordered Bandit .. I love it ! It's unique and at first it is indeed kinda border line masculine but after 5 minutes the scent changes into something feminine and it is indeed so captivating and very seductive ! I love and love BANDIT !

Bandit is a perfume that any woman would like if she does not always need to always wear a flowery scent. Bandit is business if you're dressed in suits skirts or slacks (I especially like it with slacks) It is not sweet at all. Dry bordering on masculine. It depends on your mood and how you're feeling. I wear it when I'm feeling Take Charge. Wanna have fun of just 2. 5 stars

For me this fragrance holds memories of my mothers wardrobe and thus is comfort and home to me...but when I wear this out not a man alive doesn't comment and woman all want the brand! One in a lifetime fragrance I will wear for all my life as my mother before me <3
