I have worn Cabochard now since 1968, when I was sixteen. Men and women come up to me to tell me the fragrance is divine. I cannot imagine what I would do without it. So happy to find it here! Thank you!

Yes, I can see the similarities between Cabochard by Parfums Gres and Bandit by Robert Piguet (which costs quite a bit more). If you're looking for that "biting" chypre fragrance, you'll most likely love Cabochard. I find the EDT and EDP versions last equally as long. It is great for formal occasions, or even a fragrance you can wear to the office, as the sillage is impressive at over five feet, but is long-lasting and can be smelled through the day (or night). Since Bandit's reformulation is "weak" (eau de parfum concentration) and has lost its unique trademark note (black leather), I will be substituting it with Cabochard, that is, not unless I can find a bottle of the vintage Bandit EAU DE TOILETTE, which was way more potent than the current EAU DE PARFUM. Nevertheless, I absolute LOVE Cabochard EDP!!!
