Again another winner from this House. My third perfume from this House and I love them all. My preference is the original “Star” but this is a close second. Really hard to choose because they’ve a very different note profile. Still I would say this one too is safe blind buy territory as I can’t imagine anyone not liking it. Those of you who think you don’t like rose as a perfume note you might try this. It’s very on trend, fresh contemporary. Projection, sillage, and longevity are all very good. However this is not beast mode or close but is a great performer within a month or so of receiving it. Like nearly all middle eastern fragrances I recommend maturation. Just spray out 6-10 full spritzes then leave it sit for 3-5 weeks. It’s still good very quickly. Mine was upon receiving it but it did get noticeably better and is really, really beautiful now. I’m an over sprayer but you need not be with this one. I do top off at the 3-4 hour mark but I really like the head notes too so you get these back for about an hour. Its note description is very accurate except it’s a very fresh rose, not perfumey or jammy. It’s more photorealistic as if you’re walking through a garden and you’ve brushed up against a tea rose bush but it is intermingled with other flowers with a fresh green scent like just trimmed flower stems. However it’s not a freshie. That’s not what I mean. It doesn’t have ozonic notes but may give you the feel of being outside as the flowers smell so fresh. This would be a beautiful bridal fragrance. I think it’s wonderful year round but probably shines most during Spring and Summer. It does remain on clothes and hair quite a while at least faintly until laundering. Hair at least 12-14 hours. Absolutely nothing cloying in this fragrance regardless of over spraying. You won’t choke anyone out. This is most definitely a feminine perfume, no 2 ways about it. Great date night but you might want to take some with you to refresh 3-4 hours in. I wouldn’t call it sexy/sensual unless you think very feminine is? I think it’s appropriate for any woman any age. Definitely could be adopted as your signature scent and is perfect for any situation or occasion. It’s one many will likely tire of. As I’ve mentioned with regard to the other two I have purchased by Mauboussin, I’d not blink at 10x’s the cost. I’m not sure how they make such high quality fragrances and such lux bottles at this price point? A purchase you won’t regret! I absolutely love it.

B. Kimmerle 

Mauboussin Pour Elle The first whiff was a strong blast of a fruity, peppery rose, floral mix. Feminine floral though I am still trying to find the rose part. Top notes are rhubarb, red fruits and orange blossom. The scent does last several hours....good for daytime.

C Tomlin 

Mauboussin Rose Pour Elle -- I've been trying out different Rose scents in addition to Chloe Roses (a love). In my opinion this fragrance holds its own. Sweeter and perhaps not as sour or with as much depth as Chloe it is a very pretty rose fragrance with moderate silage and longevity. A delightful find at a fantastic price.
