This is a scent that STAYS with you long after its sprayed. It is VERY sophisticated, not for a teenage girl. This is for a woman ... mature, sophisticated, classy. Smells of wealth. More for a fall or winter smell. The vanilla and lavender linger, the patchouli is definitely in there but It is not overwhelming. A little goes a LONG way on application. I have noticed everytime I put this on I can smell it washing off the following morning in the shower. So Worth the money.

I couldn't disagree more with the last reviewer. Goddess Intense is superior to the original and in no way masculinized or made Unisex by the addition of Patchouli. I find the strengthened Lavender and added Patchouli notes save Goddess Intense from being boring by adding depth and dimension to what was for me a bland vanilla that only served as an "every-gal" scent used for layering with others. Now this is a Goddess worth worshipping, one with power and personality beyond the sweet coy immaturity of a demigod. She now comes into her own.

I was really hoping that Burberry Goddess Intense was going to provide an intensified vanilla experience, but what I got was intensified LAVENDER. I enjoy the smell of lavender and the lavender in here smells very aromatic and herbal. Nothing wrong with the lavender note, but Goddess is advertised as a vanilla fragrance, so I think the majority of people are going to be expecting (and hoping for) an amped of vanilla version of the original Goddess. I actually get LESS vanilla in Goddess Intense. The intense version has an additional note of patchouli, which I really dislike. I can smell it from the start, but it's buried under the lavender at first. The type of patchouli I smell is earthy and when mixed with the lavender, it gives a masculine vibe. The scent starts off unisex, but becomes masculine as the scent dries down because it gets spicier and woodier in a way that I'm used to smelling in men's colognes and aftershaves.
