The earthy, leathery and powdery scent of Shams Oud is a fascinating fragrance for women and men from the house of Memo Paris. Introduced in 2011, this fragrance starts with notes from saffron, ginger and pepper, while the heart is filled with hints from vetiver and nagarmotha. The base is fresh with notes from French labdanum, styrax, tonka bean, agarwood and tolu balsam.

Much of this line is spectacular in its approach to leather, suede, and oud fragrances, but for me personally, this one just "does it" for me! I'm not one to throw around the word "intoxicating" lightly, so when I use it here, I genuinely mean it. If you're into darker oud fragrances, you owe it to yourself to get your nose on this one to at least give it a go! Projection is excellent as is longevity. I wouldn't spray this on clothing unless you plan to have that scent on for a long, LONG time -- you've been warned (lol). So glad I discovered this one!
