Launched in 1942, this alluring scent begins with hints from bergamot, grapefruit, Amalfi lemon and mandarin orange. The notes of neroli, petitgrain, orange, tarragon and jasmine fill the heart, while the base is filled with hints from benzoin, sandalwood, amber, patchouli and oak moss.

Sample arrived in good order. Cute little paper pouch and a generous sample size. I did not love this scent. To me it was unisex, maybe even leaning masculine. It's aromatic, citrus and spicy, and very, very sharp. There's no sweetness in there so the intense sharpness is a bit unpleasant to my nose. It might be nicer on a man perhaps?
