Imagine a precious stone of exceptional rarity: a rough black diamond of 204 carats, as big as a quail's egg. This diamond belonged to the noble Russian Korloff-Sapojnikoff family, cousins of Tsar Nicholas II. In 1917, during the Russian Revolution, the family fled to Europe, taking this priceless treasure with them. This diamond has travelled through time and continents, changing hands several times. In the 1970s, he crossed paths with Daniel Paillasseur, a French diamond merchant. Fascinated by this unique diamond, its aura and its extraordinary brilliance, he decided to have it cut into an 88-carat diamond with 57 facets, a process that would take 18 months. He then decided to give his name to the jewellery house he founded in 1978: Korloff. The Black Korloff embodies the spirit of the House: luxury, audacity and exception. Even today, it continues to inspire every creation and shape Korloff's prestigious heritage. It is the DNA of the House.
