Launched in 1989, this scent features notes from Artemisia, Caraway, Basil, Bergamot and Lavender, while the heart is full of fragrance from Pepper, Carnation, Sage, Jasmine and Geranium. The base is passionate with hints from Incense, Patchouli, Amber, Cedar, Coconut, Musk, Leather and Oakmoss.

Wow... this is an absolute POWERHOUSE! Daniel Hechter's Caractere is a massive patchouli scent with unreal staying-power. It lasts on my skin for nearly 10 hours, and the sillage on clothing is DAYS long... a must-own for lovers of vintage masculine fragrances!

Regretfully, not the same scent it had in late 80's. Likely reformulated and not in a good way. Just a hint of what it used to be.
