Caron Yatagan. This is a great cologne. Rugged and outdoorsy. Some colognes dry out my eyes, make me sneeze, or give me a headache. This one does none of these things. Every time I put it on it amazes me how great it smells. There are none like it . Unique. I'm in my 40's and it doesn't have the old man vibe either.

I'm a fan of Caron fragrances, I respect their thinking of giving a man that special smell. I love Caron Pour Homme so much, When I saw Yatagan in a store, I tried it,OMG! what a smell! it really takes your nose and you can't stop smelling it, I smelled mt hand every minute to see how it goes from level to level. I felt a similarity with Aramis Devin, but honestly, Yatagan smoother and sweeter than Devin. Give it a try in the evening in winter or autumn with that jacket and be special wherever you go.

Just for context- I'm a thirtysomething male with an office/boardroom job by day and an active, outdoorsy lifestyle. Yatagan is my year-round fragrance. Two sprays start off interesting, and very attractive, but mannerly. I liked it from the first instant I smelled it. It's masculine, but not in a cheap or "trying too hard" way. The middle hours are excellent, as the anamalic tones begin to take leading roles in the symphony. The lingering anamalic tone, with just a touch of spice and tea, stays with you for hours. It's an extremely masculine finish that is warm and intriguing when not over-applied.
