When applying make up with a brush, dampen brush with cold water you will find that it applies better and also your makeup will last longer
When applying mascara, lay a mirror flat on the table and lean over looking down into the mirror. You will never get mascara smudges again
Easy/inexpensive way to maintain healthy and clean make-up brushes: soak brushes in 50-50 mixture of alcohol and water for 20 minutes. Using a mild shampoo, squirt dime size amount in palm of hand, swirl brush, then rinse thoroughly and air dry.
For eyelash health - smather on some vaseline on your eyelashes whenever your not in mascara mode....keeps them soft and supple & I believe this helps them to be healthy which helps them replenish & grow... Also - before you put your mascara on - always use an eyelash curler!!! Also, put some baby powder (or any powder will do) on your finger (a light dusting) and flick your eyelashes and finger together so that your eyelashes get coated with the powder - then when you put your mascara on - the powder acts like magnet & the combo fattens the lashes - like having small hairs added to your lashes via the powder.
Sometimes when applying eyeliner, the tip breaks. Sharpen it not to make it too pointy and place it in the freezer for fifteen minutes or more. Also, when your lipstick breaks, use a lip brush to scoop out favorite color.
If you want bigger looking lips, you can use lip stick or lip gloss. Take which ever one you want, and put it just above the upper lip. You put our lip stick or gloss on the same way you already do, and just put it on the skin above the lip. Very easy, and fun!!
After applying foundation and powder on your face, sometimes makeup can get all over your lips. To help get rid of that, dip your q-tip into the makeup removing liquid and wipe it off. That will also create the desired shape of your lips.
If you would like your eye lashes to look thicker, just rub an eye pencil through the base of your upper lashes before applying your mascara. After applying the pencil and mascara, you can clean up any excess with a cotton swab dampened with a little eye make-up remover. For a more dramatic eye, apply regular eye liner right above your lash line, as you usually would.
Sharpening lip liner and eye liner pencils can be hard. The points break off as you sharpen them. My tip is to put them in the freezer for a while to harden them. You can sharpen them without breakage.
For the illusion of fuller lips, use any shimmer shadow, cheek highlighter, or face illuminator in a light shade and highlight the cupid's bow of the upper lip and the middle of the lower lip. Just a pencil thin line will do but only the cupids bow (as if you're drawing the top half of a heart) and just the small space of the middle of the lower lip. You can also create the illusion of a fuller upper lip by lining the lip straight across when you come to the cupid's bow instead of following the outline perfectly of the natural shape of the bow.
