This scent is wonderful and flowery, really beautiful. The reason I only gave it a 3 was the longevity issue. It disappears really quickly, like within an hour, sometimes less. I even tried pretty much bombing myself with it, spraying all over, and even my hair. Still didn't make it more than an hour. If they would only tweak it somehow to give it more staying power I would definitely buy it again. As it stands now, I won't, as I feel the value for the dollar is not there given it's lack of staying power.

Gardenia by Elizabeth Taylor is a great flowery scent. I think it's made more for the younger women. The scent is amazing, but if you want to smell it, then you need a little bit more than usual and it doesn't last very long...I bought it once and loved it, but i don't think i'll be buying it anymore...

Gardenia Elizabeth Taylor Eau de Parfum Spray: LOVE the fragrance. However, I'm only giving it a rating of 3 because it has no staying power. I have had friends check, and they also can't smell the scent 1/2 hour after I put it on. Other reviewers state that it does last. Maybe mine just came from a bad batch? I won't buy it again. I am having better luck with Elizabeth Taylor's Passion line, and will keep purchasing it.

Most scents I've tried out their named after certain flowers never smell like their name sake. If you are after the true scent of Gardenias then I recommend both the above bottle and Gardenias by Crabtree and Evelyn. Both make no apologies for containing the Gardenia scent. With that been said they are still different smell different from one another as if they both came from different species of the same flower.

I absolutely love Gardenia by Eliz Taylor & have used it exclusively since 2003. It is my signature. When I die, I want my grandchildren to think of me whenever they smell a gardenia because I always wear this perfume when I'm around them!
