Fashion designer Betsey Johnson is known the world over for her fanciful, feminine designs. The famous designer's women's fragrance offerings are also expressive of the bold, passionate spirit that she embodies in her designs.
Betsey Johnson began her five-decades-long career when she won Mademoiselle magazine's ""Guest Editor Content"" in 1964. After designing women's fashions for the Paraphernalia boutique and Alley Cat label, she struck out on her own in 1969 with the opening of the Betsey Bunki Nini boutique. Today, Betsey Johnson still designs women's wear, but has added underwear, swimsuits, glasses, belts, jewelry and purses to her eponymous line.
In 2006, she teamed up with scent designers Mathilde Bijaoui and Bernard Blanc to create her debut, self-titled fragrance. Boasting floral top notes, fruity mid notes and musky base notes, the fragrance is known equally for its refreshing, uplifting scent as it is for its visually striking bottle that was designed by Colorful Licences.
Betsey Johnson, a former ballerina, injects her love of dance and costumes into her clothing and accessory designs. In 2011 she released her second fragrance, Too Too, for young women. The fresh, crisp bouquet features Bulgarian rose, jasmine, ginger, strawberry, vanilla and patchouli scent notes.
Rounding out her current fragrance collection is Too Too Pretty, a 2012 release that adds scent notes such as golden gardenia, lily, lemon blossom, skin musk and whipped vanilla to the original Too Too fragrance compilation.
