Eau Sauvage is my all-time number one - a scent that I have always loved, a timeless classic - an elegant citrus blend perfect for formal occasions, but versatile enough for anytime. EAU SAUVAGE EXTREME retains the fresh lemony elegance of the original, with a significantly longer lifespan. Extreme is also a bit more concentrated than its predecessor, (but not as concentrated as an "Eau de Parfum"), and it is one of the rare scents that you can over-indulge in without causing bystanders to gag. The original Eau Sauvage was popular with young French gentlemen from the 1950s onwards - I recall wearing it one night in Paris some years ago, when the scent prompted the head of the family I was staying with (a very distinguished aristocrat with a very distinguished title) to reminisce about the highlights of his own Eau Sauvage scented adolescence (the most memorable being his tales of romantic adventures aboard the transatlantic ocean liners of the fifties). In addition to its popularity with the aristocracy and the crowned heads of Europe and their offspring, ES smells so amazingly good that it simply cannot fail to please. I have been looking for Extreme a while now and was terrified that it was no longer available, so words cannot express my relief at finding it here. If you only ever choose one fragrance, this is the one. An eternal classic.

Eau Sauvage de Christian Dior is my all time favorite. I was introduced to the scent by my Dad who was a real cologne aficionado. This was his favorite and became mine (I loved to wear it). When I got married, I introduced my husband to it and it became his favorite. 37 years later, it still is. Elegant, subtle and sexy, this scent is for that classy someone interested in leaving a forever lasting impression on those around.

'Bought a bottle in Toulon France in 1993. As of today's date the big bottle is nearly empty having only carefully been used as a secret weapon during special evening events (you name them... black tie, special date, anniversary, or maybe just as a surprise). Eau Savage has never disappointed! I'm glad it's still around.
