I am a woman, but I've been wearing Opium for men for many years. I always get compliments on the scent, and I also use YSL's Pour Homme with the same results: people comment positively about those great fragrances.

Review of Opium
I have worn Opium for over 30 years, and love it as much today, as I did when I started wearing it. I used to work within the fragrance industry, and at one time, kept no less than 10 fragrances on hand at all times. Due to new fragrance introductions, and conflicting scents, I grew allergic to many fragrances. I wear 3 fragrances today....Opium, Shalimar, and Aliage. I cant stomach the scent of others....at least not on me.

I am 58 and have used Opium since I was in my 20's. I do not like sweet perfumes or floral arrangements, they belong in a vase but this is just right for me for every day use.

Review of Opium
I started wearing Opium back in the mid 70's when it first came out and it still is a favorite signature scent. I use the scent all day but somehow, when I do a refresh spritz for the evening, I get more compliments than I would in the daytime. Yup, when I say it's "Opium", I do get raised eyebrows. Warm summer nights really release the exotic notes of this blend. Temperatures in the 70's to 80's make the scent really linger like music notes in the air, and yes, I have had both men and women stop me to inquire about the fragrance.
