It is a floral with spicy accents. Have used it for several years, along with others that may come and go, but I too can never be without this fragrance.

Review of L'air Du Temps

L'Air du Temps is a true fragrance classic. I am almost 50 and I always come back to this fragrance. I consider this a slightly spicy floral--I especially love it in the fall. It's not too heavy or sweet. Perfect!
