I have been using Joy perfume for over 30 yrs and nothing compares or even comes close Yes it is expensive but the sent lasts a very long time and is subtle, yet emits a scent when you need it most. The best desription is Scentual!

Review of Joy
My mother always wore Joy. It was her signature scent for many years. My father could get it for her at excellent prices because he purchased it at the Air Force Base Exchanges where we were stationed--and a few times in Europe when he was there. I grew up with that gorgeous scent and associating it with deep, abiding love--which is what my parents had for each other. To this day, when I get a whiff of jasmine, I think of Joy. My father is gone now and my mother has switched to another scent, but everything pales in comparison to Joy. That's why I'm on this site--because I want to buy her some for Christmas since my dad can't buy it for her anymore. There is no other perfume that is as beautiful, truly.

Review of Joy
I discovered Joy when it was given to my mother as a gift from some family friends. I was about 11 years old. I had never experienced a scent so beautiful ever in my life. The roses and jasmine envelope your senses and it makes you feel like royalty. I am now 40 years old and I wear it everyday. It is my signature. I used to only wear it on special occassions and then decided that everyday could be a special occassion if I am wearing Joy. So, I insist on only Joy. It is timeless, elegant and beautiful. I wore this magical fragrance on my wedding day a long time ago and it was more memorable than the marriage itself. Joy is timeless, elegant, and beautiful. Wearing it I feel as though I am also.

Review of Joy
Joy by Jean Patou is an experience, a memory, an event all rolled into one. The most romantic man I know gave me my first gift of Joy perfume. I was enraptured, it was divine and still is. It makes me happy just to smell Joy. It is a French experience, just like their fine cuisine, couture, coiffure and gift of making things lovely. Just amazing.
