The warm, spicy and woody fragrance of Overture is a compelling fragrance from Amouage. Introduced in 2019, this perfume features hints from cumin, cardamom, cognac, saffron, nutmeg, ginger and grapefruit. At the heart are notes from cinnamon, labdanum, myrrh, mastic, benzoin, geranium and patchouli, while the notes of smoke, incense, sandalwood, leather, clary sage and animal notes fill the base.

As good as expected. Deep, dark, resinous and absolutely Amouage. Fanstastic use of Cognac.

The Opening of this fragrance is spectacular, a distinctive concoction of pungent acid like Grapefruit, Ginger, cumin, and Cognac goodness hits you in the face, all done in a good way, so well blended, it reminds me of Myths man enveloping the user with an Aura of death and decay, only this one has an vomit like smell that lingers and turns into a leathery smoky animalic skin scent, lasting as much as 8 hours of pure exquisite aromas, when it reaches about 8 hrs. the last bit of the scent turns into a waxy creamy leathery subdued aroma of pure delight.

This is one amazing smelling fragrance. One of this house's best sho nuff. Can't wait to add it to my already huge fragrance collection.
