Yes, my story is the same as many of the others. I started to wear this wonderful fragrance in 1980. A boyfriend from England gave me a beautiful box set for my birthday. Instantly I fell in love with this fragrance. I have not found another fragrance over the years that I like as well as this one and it remains my the only fragrance I wear. Yes, during the late 90s it became harder to find. The big department stores weren't carrying it any longer, then they changed the packaging and the only places you could find it was in the duty free shops. Now we can get it on line and for a great discount!

I got this in 1977 as a beauty club selection, and I have been hooked ever since. They have changed it a bit. It used to be better, more exotic I think, and deeper, lasted longer. I bought it off and on over the years in duty free shops, online, because it disappeared from US stores. I found the best selection I had ever seen of all the accessory products when I travelled to London in the mid-nineties. I also had the dry oil and it is the best. Wish they would offer it here.
This fragrance always reminds me of being young in the decadent 70's. Oh! where have all the years gone?

I started wearing Rive Gauche when I was 14, purchased while visiting family in Guernsey, England and bought the entire collection over the next few years, before it was available in the U.S. Wore it for so many years that my husband swore it had gotten into my DNA - I smelled like it even when I hadn't put it on. I'm now 49, and feeling a little nostalgic, so I'm ordering some more, along with Fath de Fath and Royal Secret. These are my favorites and receive constant compliments whenever I have worn these over the years. Can't wait to receive my order..and Dear Husband (of 21 years) will definitely remember!
