I love this fragrance and have loved it for many years - -I'm a rive gauche fan -- love the fresh clean colors and packaging. If I could find a set I would buy it. They used to have a dry oil - - which was great!!!!!!! I always get compliments on this fragrance - - and since it is not the most popular - - I stand out in the crowd!!!

Although it is extremely hard to find it is THE best fragrance in the world & is my signature fragrance. I have been using it since 1974 & will never stop wearing it!!!! I'll stock-pile it if I have to if it goes away.

I have LOVED this scent since it first came out in the 70's. It disappeared from store shelves in my area and I thought it had been discontinued. I was so heartbroken. I am SO glad that I finally found it. As a matter of fact, I kept the last bottle I had (which has for a long time been empty) and I opened it on special occasions to catch that scent that brought back all those wonderful memories of the 70's.

I have been wearing Rive Gauche since the 70's! I love it and had a really hard time finding it. When I did, it was so expensive, however worth it. Now I have found it again and at a great price!

I was first introduced to Rive Gauche when I was a freshman in college by my "Big Sister" Vickie. I have loved it ever since and is the only fragrance I wear. It is the best fragrance ever--romantic, but difficult to purchase in the US. I loved its heavenly scent from the moment I smelled it on my mother in 1971. Since then, I fell in love with the floral purfume.

Despite its classification, above, as 'flowery' this is not a floral scent - it's a chypre (i.e. basenotes include moss) so it's not as sweet and girly as 'floral' can suggest. A good perfume to wear to work; impressive but not overtly 'sexy'.
