A French house guest gave me a huge bottle of Joy years ago and I enjoyed every spray, as did my spouse who found it very attractive. It is elegant, warm and altogether delightfully floral with more subtlety than most. The fragrance is classic, so I think I could still wear it in my sixties and perhaps I will.

When I was a young girl I remember seeing this bottle of perfume on my mom's dresser and I always wondered how it smelled and what was the attraction, now I understand, this is so elegant. timeless, and beautiful. My wonder romantic husband gave me Joy perfume for Christmas this past year, what a wonderful gift, this bought back so many memories and Joy will give me new memories to think back on as the years go by. Thank you Jean Patou.

In 1953, mama gave me a beautiful and enchanting bottle of Joy perfume. It was a tiny black bottle with a bright red stopper and a beautiful red ribbon tied to the neck of the bottle. I used it sparingly for only special evening occassions. It was $50.00 for a .5 oz. My husband purchased for me the same bottle years later for much more in price. I ran out years ago and I am looking for the same perfume. It is my most favorite and I missed it. The scent reminds me of a luscious garden with its fragrance lingering on calming your spirit. Please help me find this 0.5 oz little red bottle of perfume. i do not want a spritz bottle. Thank you very much.

I have been using Joy perfume for over 30 yrs and nothing compares or even comes close Yes it is expensive but the sent lasts a very long time and is subtle, yet emits a scent when you need it most. The best desription is Scentual!

My mother always wore Joy. It was her signature scent for many years. My father could get it for her at excellent prices because he purchased it at the Air Force Base Exchanges where we were stationed--and a few times in Europe when he was there. I grew up with that gorgeous scent and associating it with deep, abiding love--which is what my parents had for each other. To this day, when I get a whiff of jasmine, I think of Joy. My father is gone now and my mother has switched to another scent, but everything pales in comparison to Joy. That's why I'm on this site--because I want to buy her some for Christmas since my dad can't buy it for her anymore. There is no other perfume that is as beautiful, truly.
