I first discovered this at Bergdorf Goodman's in New York. I was searching for a fragrance that would have its own "Signature Scent", something that set me apart from the pack that was buying commercial grade perfumes that were highly marketed at the time in the late 80 's, early 90's. This is IT!!! A very clean, light, summer/spring type fragrance that is perfectly named... "Spring Rain". Heavenly. Not too strong. The only down-side is that it only lasts a couple of hours without refreshing. Awesome. People constantly asked me what I was wearing, when wearing this. It is clean, crisp, a perfect accessory for a summer/spring event. Not overpowering. The true definition of 'Lovely".

Eau de Ciel is a wonderful fragrance for the warm weather. It is crisp and light. The scent stays for hours without being overwhelming.

This scent is so lovely....crisp, fresh, sweet and feminine. Not heavy, and for those sensitive to overpowering fragrances, this will appeal to you. Light and girlie and perfect for any occasion. It's my go-to scent when I don't have a particular mood in mind.

The translation of "Ciel" is sky, but can also mean Heaven. "Water from Heaven" maybe....

on my first trip to paris I sought out the Annick Goutal store and fell in love with this fragrance immediately... it's literal translation is "water from the sky" which is very appropriate.. it is neither citrusy, floral or oriental but rather clean, refreshing and crisp... just like water...
