Eau de Soir reminds me of fragrances my mother wore. She had great taste by the way and wore many of the discontinued fragrances that others lament and sell on eBay for hundreds of dollars today. Eau de Soir is a true chypre that opens with a blast of citrus that quickly settles, I think it also has lot of musk (good stuff not cheap) and oakmoss. It is mellow but long lasting, slightly spicey and bit less feminine that Soir de Lune. If I had to categorize it I would say Eau is more day and Soir is more night, but I wear them both whenever I want to. It lasts forever on fabric and smells more beautiful with each passing hour. These fragrances (to one who really knows fragrance) smell beautiful and are made of top notch ingredients just like their skincare. I hope they never reformulate or discontinue this beauty, it's a classic. By the way, the body cream is very true to the fragrance, wears a little closer and is just gorgeous as well. I love Sisley so much!
