4711 fragrance by Muelhens

There's always been 4711 in our house, since I was a little girl. It's a fresh, clean scent that I had always come back to, after trying something else. Now, I find myself reacting negatively when I'm around someone who's wearing their scent too strongly. 4711 perfume is light, yet lasts a good, long while. So, all around, I love it, and I'm never without.

My best friends mom is from Germany and now 75 yrs old, we always were allowed to use her 4711 parfum when we were teens - she approved of the light fragrance for use by teen girls. Now at 36 yrs old, I find myself in love with the fragrance. It is refreshing and the cool tonic feels great after showers to use all over. It is truly a uni-sex fragrance, and even for young children - I let my three yr old niece use it to "smell pretty". I feel like the tonic actually tones my skin after bathing as well, leaves the skin soft. Inexpensive enough to use liberally. Not really what I would recommend for elegant or evening use, but for every day, weekend or casual it is great. Scent is not "chemical" smelling, smells natural. Enjoy.

I have used 4711 cologne exclusively for the last 20 years. I still like the scent, gets lots of compliments from women, and appreciate the reasonable price. A big factor for my daily use though, is the fact that it causes no skin irritation at all for me. Almost all of the other brands of cologne do cause it, and I was very relieved to discover that 4711 did not. I will be a loyal customer for the rest of my life.

Like another reviewer, we kept this in the fridge during the summer. Visitors who were not used to NYC summers always welcomed a few splashes. This is a wonderful gift for anyone in the hospital, who needs to feel clean and fresh...or to order for yourself when you are confined to bed, from an accident or surgery. This bright, fresh fragrance makes you feel so much better. Keep it on the bedstand, for a quick splash or spray, when you hear people coming. SSponge baths are okay, but 4711 is a necessity!!

I love this fragrance. My Mother is from Munich and she always had a big bottle that she kept in the refrigerator!! On hot summer days we would splash it on...very refreshing, wonderfully clean smell...I still splash it today!!!
