I have been wearing this scent for over thirty years! I still receive so many compliments! I love it! Definitely recommend but it does smell different on different people.

I have worn Elizabeth Arden Red Door for 37 YEARS! Red Door perfume was first introduced in 1989, the first year that I purchased it! I have tried other scents other than Red Door, but NOTHING compares! I wore Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue for awhile, but it just doesn't compare to Red Door. When I first began wearing it in my thirties I wore it much heavier, and got compliments! Now that more people seem to have negative reactions to scents I have scaled back, and I STILL (always) get compliments! Every single time that I wear Red Door I receive multiple compliments! With others, not so much! It can be a strong scent, but these days I apply it to my undergarments, and it is perfect! Working in healthcare, it was necessary not to wear heavy scents. No one EVER complained of being bothered by the light scent (undergarment application), but MANY/MOST complimented the "wonderful, fresh smell"! When my son got married, his new wife asked if there were any perfume that I liked. John said, "Yes, but I can't remember the name of it." They were in Dillard's and she said, "Can you remember anything about it?" He said, "It was "Door" something." They went through the scent section smelling things with "Door". When they came to the Red Door sampler he said, "THAT'S IT!" They bought it for me for Christmas! I feel better with a nice scent when I'm out! Many perfumes react/smell differently on different body chemistries. I REALLY wanted to love Arden's "Sunflowers", but once I applied it the smell made me nauseous - this was the only scent that I absolutely could not wear. Red Door is THE one that just fits with me!
