Pitbull Fragrances

Armando Christian Perez, better known by his stage name Pitbull, may not be the first person you think of when it comes to feminine fragrances. Indeed, the pop culture force who has sold over five million albums worldwide is more likely to conjure images of pulsating beats than sandalwood and amber. However, the musician-turned-entrepreneur celebrated New Years 2014 with the launch of his first signature fragrance line, and he has since released other fragrances for men and women with much success.

Raised in Miami's Little Havana section, he credits his mom as a primary inspiration for his product line. Fascinated by her ability to mix various smells and outfits to great effect, he decided early on that he wanted to create something subtle and sexy for people to wear.

Much like his personality, his approach to marketing the scents has been practical and nonconforming. In conjunction with Parlux Ltd., his fragrance licensee, he gave exclusive selling rights to Amazon.com for the first two months of the product's release, thereby offering a remarkable boost for the company's foray into the beauty market.

While producing number one hits in 15 countries, Perez played chemist alongside business partner Givaudan. Together, they crafted a series of scents, including PITBULL MAN and PITBULL WOMAN.

Reminiscent of skyscrapers throughout the world, the bottles for Perez's products are cylindrical and intended to convey a sense of power and simplicity. In 2015, he released Pitbull Miami Man, and plans to release another fragrance in 2016.
