Sun is an ambery floral scent for women from the house of Jil Sander. Launched in 1989, this perfume opens with notes from African orange flower, palisander rosewood, Amalfi lemon, bergamot, cassis and fruity notes. The heart is filled with hints from carnation, orris root, lily of the valley, rose and ylang-ylang, while the base is compelling with hints from tonka bean, sandalwood, musk, styrax, tobacco leaf, patchouli and amber.

I was introduced to Jil Sanders when I was deployed to Saudi Arabia, loved the smell. I almost forgot about it until a few years ago when flying back from Frankfurt, Germany. It was for sale on the plane “duty free!” I collect perfumes and this is one of my favorite. The smell is not for everyone, but it is for me.

Been using this for years! I’m from Germany living in the US and get lots of compliments! I can tell it’s not a well known perfume here. Can’t beat the price at all!!

Jill Sander Sun is a truly memorable, unique fragrance that warms your soul. Good longevity and more of a cool weather wear than the name suggest.

As a guy, I bought it when I was in Frankfurt, Germany. It is very neutral. Not too feminine nor musculine, maybe that's the reason why I bought it by mistake. Now actually I used both men and women Jil Sander Sun. The woman one smells like cream, a little like ice-cream. Very clean, keep it in your bag and re-apply when needed, it is very refreshing, but without feeling cool, or cold. Hope it makes sense.
