I found this perfume on my mother's dresser fifty years ago, and this fresh,deep mysteriously sumptuous fragrance stopped and transported me in my thoughts to a beautiful place instantly. Breaking down this marvelous combination of ingredients played on my mind for afterwards. It's truly a timeless classic. It's marvelous!

I tried 4711 in the 90's during the summer and loved the fresh, light and clean fragrance. I particularly liked spraying it on after a cool shower before bed. It is unlike the overly complex fragrances that I had been using. I discovered it again recently and was again delighted by it's freshness. I get a similar result by using one of the popular women's fragrances (at least four times the price) and then adding a spray of men's woodsey cologne. Why bother when I can have it all in one with 4711.

When I was a teen I sampled 4711 at a friend's home during a sleepover. At the time I liked it. After some 50 years passed, I was silly enough to think I still would, so I ordered three of the body sprays. I'll keep them for occasional use during summer evenings, but I'm reminded that just because something is billed as unisex doesn't really mean that it IS. My husband wasn't impressed when it was on me, but I might try talking him into trying it for himself... or not. Not a good choice for me.
