To make your fragrances last longer place a drop of baby oil or baby oil gel on your pulse points (neck, wrists, chest, behind ear, ankles. Spray your fragrance on the baby oil. Your scent will last longer.
Take the perfumed cards from magazines, open them up and put them in your drawers with your underwear. They leave a lovely scent.
Since winter air is cold and humidity levels are low, try an oil-based moisturizer. The more oil a moisturizer contains the more effectively it protects against moisture loss. The oil will actually create a barrier on your skin that will retain more moisture than creams. It is also important to shed wet clothes and shoes immediately as these can irritate the skin.
To keep your combs & brushes clean, soak them in a small basin of warm water mixed with baking soda for five minutes. It helps to remove oily residue, dandruff & hair clumps stuck inside them. Dry with a clean cloth.
When applying perfume, always spray behind ears, collar bone, wrist, both arms, and behind the knees.
A simple little tip my mother gave me years ago was to keep my perfume in the refrigerator. This will help keep it fresh much longer. This is really a good idea in the summer months, especially here in Chicago. Our summer's can get pretty HOT & HUMID! So go ahead and try it, you've got nothing to lose.
Do you ever find yourself getting a little lazy, tired or sleepy in the afternoons? Well then, if you're looking for a quick pick me up instead of reaching for a candy bar, pop or a cup of coffee, just dab on or spritz on some of your favorite perfume! Works like a charm! And best of all, it's caffeine free with no calories!
Spray your perfume on a cotton ball and place it in your bra.
Applying the matching powder fragrance along with the matching lotion will make the cologne last a lot longer than applying cologne alone. Apply the lotion after shower wait about a couple minutes then apply cologne and then powder where ever you want it to go. Also; if you have the bath gel for shower or bath beads etc. Use them in bath. This will seal your fragrance on your skin to provide you with a longer lingering fragrance! Hope you enjoy my tip. Winter, a time of hibernation for many plants and animals can also be a time for the Winter Blues. Aromatherapy is the natural antidote to the emotionally draining effects of winter. Try citrus oils such as grapefruit, lemon and lime for a refreshing and uplifting feeling. Plus, pine, eucalyptus and camphor can treat congestion.
