Every perfume works differently on skin but this one has been around for a long time and everytime I smell it it reminds me of freshly clean cotton shirts or a citrusy fresh. The better this perfume gets throughout the day and then you get to the woody, spicy clove still clean scent. This famous hairdresser used this perfume and he smelled so good I still remember...And even though this says for men I know women using it and I am one of them...

I first discovered Cacharel in the mid 80's when I had dinner with a friend. I commented on his scent and 2 days later, had a vial dropped through my mail slot. It has been my fragrance of choice since then. I often receive queries from various people about my fragrance and am happy to tell them. I plan to continue using this wonderful cologne.

Started at 21 using Cacharel pour l'Homme and still using it now at 69! My spouse still loves it and apparantly more woman love this scent! :-) Tried lots of others but still go back to Cacharel...BTW, my wife uses both J'Adore and Opium and i love those too!

Cacharel Pour L'Homme is a very nice fragrance. Actually, I would consider it formal. It is not a loud fragrance and would be great for office wear. It starts out citrusy with what I detect as a strong iris note. After half an hour, it settles down into a pretty linear fragrance with a very prominent note of nutmeg, thus conducive for the cooler/colder months of the year. I do love nutmeg fragrances, so I am pleased with this purchase. Yes, the bottle does look like the British Sterling bottle. The only complaint I have with the packaging is that they've replaced the shiny silver lettering on the bottle with a dull dark gray lettering. I don't know if they did that to cut corners and save money, but I wish they would bring back the shiny silver lettering as it gave the bottle a more elegant look. Of note, Lacoste for Men also replaced the shiny silver lettering with the dark gray lettering. It sure looked nicer with the shiny silver lettering. Now, they're just nondescript dull containers. Cacharel, please bring back the shiny silver lettering. It looks more elegant and luxurious.
