I bought this perfume as an ode to my year of birth- 1990 and it has also been discontinued. This fragrance has depth and complexity. It is a soapy-floral scent with a slight herbaceous touch, more geared towards cold weather. This reminds me of my childhood when my mom would kiss be goodbye and I can smell White Linen or Opium on her. It’s definitely not for everyone. It is strong, has great projection, and phenomenal lasting power. It leans more mature so if you’re in to sweet or basic floral scents, you may not appreciate this.

I've been wearing JS4 for 30 years and I absolutely love it. Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny? And then some! I wouldn't be without it.

I came upon mention of Jill Sander #4 in a fragrance article and, after looking at the notes and reviews, decided to order a bottle. It's a complex floral with depth and strength---one light spray is all I need. It has great longevity which I find lacking in many higher-priced perfumes. A worthy purchase!
