The warm, spicy and fresh scent of Opus XIV is an aromatic scent for women and men from the house of Amouage. Launched in 2022, this perfume begins with hints from olibanum, anise, elemi resin, cardamom, basil and bergamot. The heart is filled with notes from tobacco, licorice, fenugreek, prunol, lavender, osmanthus, orange blossom and rose, while the notes of olibanum, bourbon vanilla, myrrh, birch tar, benzoin, agarwood, labdanum, guaiac wood, peru balsam, tonka bean, vetiver and musk fills the base.

I received Royal Tobacco on NYE this year. So far I can say it's an intriguing artisanal niche scent. Not something I would wear at an event to stand out. I feel like this is a fragrance that will require multiple wears for me to understand what it does and to understand how and when to wear it. I must say I am surprised by the moderate Projection and longevity I am getting so far. I am hoping this will get better with time. I had only smelled Royal Tobacco from the atomizer in a local boutique but never got a sample...if I had a sample, I may have never bought it. Do I regret buying it...not yet. This is a Niche Scent. Not for everybody.
