“It may be a short and sweet tip, but it’s equally important. Keeping your products out of direct sunlight and keeping them out of steamy, heated areas (like the bathroom) will make a big difference in the shelf life of your favorite beauty goodies.”

“My way of storing beauty products is by putting them where I can see them. Beauty is such a huge part of my life that I keep my products in places that are normally reserved for other things.
My fireplace mantle, for example, is stocked with nail polish instead of family photos. Also, my hair products and skincare must-haves are on the top two shelves of my bookshelf, while I keep my books stored elsewhere.”

“I organize my personal makeup with a makeup magnet board! I love this method of organization because the products are accessible, but are arranged in a way that it doesn’t look messy like a bunch of loose products strewn about the counter.
You can make these DIY projects yourself with an old frame and a magnetic board covered in fabric or you can go the easy way and buy a premade one on Etsy.
Either way, you simply hot glue some magnets on to the back of your favorite cosmetics and you’re set to go! I also attached a pencil holder to mine to store brushes and other larger beauty tools.”

"Beauty product organization can be pretty overwhelming---especially for me as I often get new products in to review and test. While I'm not the most organized person, I do find that by categorizing items by season and what gets used the most helps a lot. I'll keep my current foundation, concealer, blush, liner, etc. in a Zuca makeup bag. It makes life easy for me since it's clear so I can see exactly what's in it. For products I currently use but not as often, I have a small three-draw container so I can quickly find what I'm looking for and keep it out of the way when I don't need it.
For products I'm either getting ready to test or extras, I keep them in a much larger drawer set. My fragrances are kept on my dresser in my bedroom mostly because the bottles are so pretty to look at and because I surprisingly don't have a huge collection since I tend to stick to the same scent category."

“My beauty products are always in a state of organized chaos. I have a huge vintage desk with 8 drawers stuffed full. While none of the drawers are organized with pretty acrylic trays or baggies, etc., each drawer has different products. I have one filled with lip stuff, one for eye stuff, a face drawer, one for hair products, skincare, nails, one stuffed with bills and random paperwork that comes with any electronics I have, and a drawer with stuff I think my friends would like that I let them rummage through when they come over.”

“There was a time when I tried to keep different types of products organized by category, but that became too much of a hassle to maintain. Now, I keep my most frequently used makeup and skincare products all together in a cute fabric-covered storage bin next to my mirror. It may not look efficient, but I know exactly where to find my favorite products.”

“I have two chests of drawers in my bedroom, and half of one of them is devoted to my beauty products (the rest of that space is for clothing). On top of that dresser, I have a two plastic organizers for my makeup and a 3-way mirror, along with a standing magnifying mirror. All my makeup is kept up there. There's a wall-shelf to the right of the dresser where my perfume collection lives. The top two drawers have non-makeup products. The topmost drawer contains lotions, oils, mousses -- basically hair and body products. The second drawer down is where my hot tools live.
I share a bathroom with two other people, so the only beauty products I keep in there are shampoo, conditioner, body wash and face wash. I must mention that I also have two other sets of makeup -- one that lives in my desk drawer, and another that lives in a cute waterproof makeup bag inside my gym bag.”

“I organize my clothes and closet for the season-- I like to organize my fragrances in the same fashion.
Instead of feeling confused and overwhelmed by the choices and crowded bottles, right now all my sweet, floral and bright summer scents are displayed on my vanity.”
