Futuristic 60’s was exactly the kind of vibe that designer Betsey Johnson was going for her Spring-Summer 2014 show, as models sported pink wigs, metallic lips and matte nails. Keeping the mood girly and young in the beauty department, expect lots of pastels to be a big hit next spring.

MAKEUP
Makeup was inspired by futuristic beauty, as lead makeup artist Sarah Lucero described the look as Brigitte Bardot meets Marilyn Manson. Faces were kept flawless, dewy and illuminated, while lips and eyes were bold and metallic.
HAIR
Hair looked very Marie Antoinette-inspired as models sported pink cotton candy like wigs. In order to create this dramatic look, lead hairstylist Rodney Cutler bobbed and backcombed the wigs, as well as adding texture to help define this style. Wigs were also tied into knots to get that crazy-cool look.
NAILS
Nails brought a girly element to the look with sparkly pink tips, which matched the silver foiled lip perfectly. Using Morgan Taylor nail polish products, lead manicurist Danielle Cadido states that we can expect to see lots of matte nail looks next season.
