I first wore Maroc as a teen, around 1985. By sometime in the 90s, Ultima II no longer produced it, and I was able to find it as a "Prestige Fragrances" item. I couldn't find it for a while until I happily stumbled across it on fragrance net. Maroc has sandalwood/oriental/woodsy tones, but it is not overpowering. I checked 1-5 hours for lasting, but this is one of those fragrances that you are unable to smell on yourself and then you receive a compliment about how good you smell! It is subtle and elegant, fine for day or night wear.
This is by far the perfume I've worn that has generated the most positive comments. I've even had men ask me what it is because they wanted to buy it for their wives or girlfriends. It's that good. It's difficult to find, and the closest thing I've found is Animale (terrible name).
