I love this fragrance! It is definitely floral, with gardenia being the most prominent note, but it's not one of the really intense, overpowering, obnoxious florals. The only downside to this one is that it can sometimes rub off a little, I've noticed it on my fiance's coat after we hugged. It only rubs off a little though. Otherwise, this one is perfect for casual or elegant days or evenings, it's very versatile. Very feminine and soft.

It is wonderful, it amkes my skin smell flowery but with a soft vanilla touch to it I love it!

Very soft and powdery, easy to wear.

Marc Jacobs ESSENCE - I have worn this perfume for years and I am always approached by both males and females and asked what my scent is. It is familiar, warming, sexy and can be worn for whatever the occassion. Doesn't last very long and does need to be re-applied regularly.

More light and cheerful than original Marc Jabos Perfume. Beautiful for anyone, anytime, anywhere.

based around gardenia and orange blossom, it's just wonderful and I've taken to wearing it almost daily. Easier to wear than most fragrances in my opinion, I think. Worth a try especially if you love neroli/orange blossom as well as gardenia.

Marc Jacob essence is like mysery to me...evrytime is smell myself I discover a new undertone n it makes me fall in love with it all over again...I love it and I know i'v found my Signature perfume......cheers

Marc Jacob's Essence is a light sensual fragrance that can be worn day or night. I usually wear softer scents only in the summer, but Essence is soft and has the power to be worn all year long. Definitely a winner!
