East meets West at the Natori design house, where founder Josie Natori creates ready-to-wear fashion, lingerie, sleepwear and fragrances that reflect her signature aesthetic.
Natori founded the company in her native Philippines in 1977, and its products now sell at leading American retailers, including Bloomindales, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. In keeping with her desire to improve the lives of others, her company still manufactures 50 percent of all Natori products in the Philippines.
In 2008, Natori signed a global licensing deal with Parlux Fragrances and released her first fragrance, Natori for Women, in 2009. She released Natori Eau de Parfum in 2011.
In 2014, Natori partnered with the beauty company LUXE Brands to create a new fragrance, Josie, featuring the scent of Sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines. The Josie fragrance is available as eau de parfum, body cream and body lotion. In 2015, the company released a limited edition version of Josie by Natori, called Josie Exotic Petals.
The Natori lifestyle collection also features fragrances for the home, including incense and scented candles. Natori collaborated with perfumers Honorine Blanc, Frank Voelkl and Caroline Sabas to develop the Natori fragrance line.
Natori, who trained as a classical pianist and studied economics in university, had a successful career on Wall Street and became the first female vice president of corporate finance at Merrill Lynch before launching her career in fashion.
Headquartered in New York, Natori products are sold in more than 15 countries around the world.
