"Santal Noble" is 3.3 oz. of pure disappointment. Sure, the scent is nice... What would be really nice, though, is if it lasted more than an hour or so, especially considering how much this stuff costs. I expected much better from a cologne costing nearly $100 a bottle! Crabtree & Evelyn's "Sandalwood" is half the price, smells as good if not better, and lasts much longer.

I got my "Route du Vétiver", and Jeez (!), that's something I did not expect: vetiver in rawest way. As a fragrance fan, I have about 23 fragrances from Maître Parfumeru et Gantier. This is the last one, and what a surprise. I can only feel lucky to get something that authentic in this time and age or synthetic fragrances. Thanks MPG. I will be rather cautious and won't recommend this particular fragrance for an "unprepared nose", if you know what I mean. If you want a vetiver-based fragrance, start with Guerlain, or Lalique. This one will appear to you very-very strong. Almost on the edge of not being one, but something else. My st "Route du Vétiver" I was propelled to the edge of rawness, seeing what the real thing look and smell like.

MPG uses the best 'noses", in my opinion, who always create very distinguishable and refined fragrances. I'm very pleased with natural quality of MPG's fragrances. The last ones I purchased - "Route du Vetiver" (stridently clean and vetivery in a very unusual combination) and "Bois de Turquie" (exquisite in its complesxity) are not an exclusion from the rules. Thanks you very much, MPG! Thanks to you, FragranceNet, for having MPGs on your shelves.

Sanguine Mus. I first tried this scent while visting Paris. I loved it then, and still do. It is light and sensual. Understated, but wonderful when you catch the scent.
