Kim Kardashian is one of the biggest stars in popular culture, a celebrity powered by her own talent for being famous. The California native may have gotten her start as a wardrobe stylist and Paris Hilton’s personal assistant, but once she gained notoriety for a sex video made with the rapper Ray J and began appearing in a reality television show with her family, she was destined to become a household name. Thanks to “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which has documented her life with her mother and step-father, a brother, and four sisters since 2007, as well as constant attention from paparazzi, the world is familiar with all the details of her wardrobe, her beauty regimen, her lavish weddings, and her marriage to hip-hop mogul Kanye West.
The Kardashian sisters have marketed their personal style through fashion boutiques and a cosmetics line, so it only makes sense that Kim would venture into the fragrance business. Like the star herself, Kim Kardashian’s fragrances (produced through a licensing agreement with Lighthouse Beauty) are voluptuous and attention-getting, with rich florals and sensual musks. The first fragrance in the collection, simply titled Kim Kardashian, was launched in 2010. It has been followed by a half-dozen other scents marked with the Kim’s signature double-K logo, including Glam, Gold, and Pure Honey.
