Herve Leger was founded by French designer Herve L. Leroux in 1985. The European company originally specialized in well-fitted feminine clothing for style-conscious, but shapely women. Herve Leger's signature and best-selling dresses were, and continue to be, made with adaptable and stylish fabrics such as silk and wool. Sold in upscale department stores, the brand has a reputation for quality clothing made to flatter the feminine figure.
The company has continued to grow steadily since its beginnings. In 1998, the American company BCBG Max Azria Group bought Herve Leger. In 2007, BCBG Max Azria Group rebranded and relaunched the French couturier, finding great success with contemporary branding that highlighted Herve L. Leroux's classic French lineage and style.
After reaching great heights with the clothing line, Herve Leger, in association with Procter & Gamble Prestige Beaute, launched its first fragrance line in 1999. Ten years later, it collaborated with Avon for yet another successful perfume line. Alberto Morillas ushered in many elegant scents, incorporating jasmine-tinged aromas with notes of sandalwood, violet and freesia. The presentation of the signature blends, such as Herve Leger Paris Eau de Parfum, is equally as refined as what you will find inside the bottle. The curved glass bottles echo the initial company's entrance into the fashion and beauty markets, making for a fully recognizable brand built with elegance and a deep knowledge of the finer things in life.
