Christina Aguilera (Designer)
Singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera has carved out her own niche in a new generation of divas that also includes Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus, combining her vocal talents with a modern bombshell image. Aguilera got an early start to her professional career when she appeared on television’s Star Search at the age of nine. Just a few years later, in 1993, she joined the cast of The All New Mickey Mouse Club, performing alongside other future stars like Justin Timberlake and Keri Russell.
Aguilera released her self-titled debut album in 1999 and won a Grammy Award for her pop single “Genie in a Bottle.” Her second album, Stripped, was more provocative and spawned the hits “Dirrty” and “Beautiful.” Aguilera collaborated with Mya, Lil’ Kim, and Pink on the hit remake of the 1970s song “Lady Marmalade,” co-starred with Cher in the film Burlesque, and appeared as a coach on the televised singing-competition show The Voice for several seasons.
Aguilera launched two perfumes with Dana Classic Fragrances in the early 2000s; however, the collaboration soon ended and the scents were discontinued. In 2007, she formed a new deal with Procter & Gamble. Her debut perfume for this new collection, Christina Aguilera, was a success. It was followed by further releases, including Inspired, Royal Desire, Red Sin, and Unforgettable. Each perfume is boudoir-ready, packaged a curvy, lace-patterned bottle and trimmed with a ribbon or charm. Like Aguilera, they are seductive and hard to resist.
